Group Reservations

We love hosting groups at The Gentry Cinema, whether from a school, church, community organization, or a birthday party. Please read the details below, then contact Wally to discuss further details for your group reservation.

School groups

Whether you’re bringing a group of students as a reward for meeting a goal or looking to supplement classroom lessons with a specific film, we can help make it happen.

We typically don’t require a minimum for school groups. For any movies already on our schedule, the cost is $6 per student and $7 per adults for newer releases or $5 per person for classics. Most of the time we schedule school groups on Fridays with a 9:00 arrival for a 9:30 start time or a 12:00 arrival for a 12:30 start time, but some other days/times may be available.

School groups can pay for tickets only, or you can pay for tickets plus receive a discounted rate of $3 for our kids combo (snack size popcorn, small drink, and fruit snacks) for each person.

Private screenings

Private screenings can be arranged for church groups, sports teams, families, or any other group. Minimum group size is 50 people to reserve the large theater and 15 people to reserve the small theater.

The cost and logistics depend on whether you want a private screening of a movie we’re already showing or a private screening of a movie you choose. For a movie we’re already showing, our standard ticket rates apply. If you want to choose a movie, additional fees will apply to cover the required licensing through the distributor.

For private screenings, we can work with you on a special concession package or each person can simply purchase their own concessions.

Private screenings are most common on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, but other days or times may be available. Contact Wally to talk about options for a private screening.

Birthday parties

Come celebrate your birthday at The Gentry with a private screening of a movie or video games on the big screen. The cost and logistics for movie birthday parties are similar to private screenings, and we can work with you on a special concession package for your party. You can also bring cake, cupcakes, or cookies to enjoy in the lobby area, but no other outside food or drink is allowed.

Birthday party reservations typically occur on Saturday mornings, but a Sunday afternoon may also be possible depending on the weekend.

Reserved rows at regular screenings

If you have a church group, birthday party, or other group that’s too small for a private screening but still wants to sit together for a regular screening, let us know. For groups of 10+ we can reserve a couple rows for your group. We also offer on-screen birthday greetings for $20, but we need details no later than Wednesday afternoon to ensure your on-screen message makes it into the pre-show slides.
